Instructions for first blog post

In your first blog post, you should take some time to introduce yourself. Be sure to include your full name, hobbies and interests, and feelings about Reading and Writing. 

Remember, your post MUST be at least two full paragraphs. You must check for spelling, punctuation, and fluency of ideas.

Here is mine, which may serve as your example:


Greetings! My name is Brandon Ogilby and I am the 7th grade English teacher at Hughes STEM High School. Although this is my first year teaching seventh grade, I have a lot of experience in the classroom. Last year I taught at the Cincinnati State STEM Academy, which is a 9-12 charter school on Cincinnati State's campus. I also currently teach English Composition 101-102 at the Cincinnati State College and Technical Institute.

When I am not teaching, you can usually find me at home with my family or on stage with my friends. I enjoy playing music, and I have been in a band since I was 14. I love all types of music, but I love to play Jazz, Rock, and even some Heavy Metal.

I am married to a wonderful woman named Alysun. Together we have three kids. We live in Golf Manor, OH.

Obviously I enjoy reading and writing, and I feel that an understanding of language can help you achieve your goals in life. I decided to become an English teacher because I feel quite strongly that no matter what you want to do, language can help you be more successful at it.
